Today was moving day, from Warsaw to Lodz, about 125 miles. Among the English are well represented by the team, managers, associates, media and some fans, some have done road (a couple of hours) and other train (one hour less). But in any case all we had to learn to pronounce the name of the city in which we settled until next Wednesday: write Łódź, but those that sign accents and spelling that appears from the L are two to rule something like as buch. It's one of those quirks that always learn a foreign language, especially the Slavs.
With just over 600,000, Łódź is the second largest city in Poland, has or had the textile industry in the country, with chemicals and metal items, and reached to be famous its film school, where, among many other filmmakers, he studied the famous Roman Polanski (pictured stand by the star that is dedicated on the sidewalk, in front of the Academy). Apparently, years ago a major festival celebrated here the cinema but has recently lost cartel. Of course, upon arriving in the city is easy to see that not happening precisely because of its best.
Łódź, incidentally, is from 1999, a twin city of Murcia. I do not know why, I tried to find out but have not succeeded, and in light of the landscape that we saw on entering the city, of course not appear to be in the orchards around here ...
Finally, the day has certainly already been relaxed, have resurfaced the jokes, the jokes. The optimism and confidence. They shout to the players, who have come great good humor, represented by Juan Carlos Navarro and Jorge Garbajosa (see photo) when from the balcony inside the first floor of the hotel have been messing with Felipe while he attended to the journalists sitting in an armchair on the ground floor.
