III. That, in accordance with nn. 356-361 of general Rubricae Missalis Romani 1962, is appropriate to hold the external solemnity of the Holy Days on the Sunday which have been transferred by the Episcopal Conference, as has been customary in many other countries so far.

As the task of compiling the Ordo for 2009 falls on us, would be grateful for clarification of His Eminence of these questions as soon as possible.

Dear Mr. Chadwick,

I acknowledge receipt of your letter of July 3, 2008 in which raises certain questions pertaining to the holidays of obligation. In the first instance

With regard to your question we can say that:
